Job summary

Berkshire County Arc in Massachusetts seeks Direct Care Professionals for residential settings to assist individuals with daily living, personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation, helping them achieve independence.

You will document records, collaborate with staff and families, and participate in activities and appointments; a valid driver's license and prior Direct Care experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Minimum 1 year of direct care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking.
• Accompany to appointments and recreational activities to promote independence.
• Maintain accurate records and data for BCArc and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate effectively with staff, families and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license, Insured vehicle
• Must have 1+ year(s) previous Direct Care experience
