Job summary

ServiceNet in Massachusetts seeks a Direct Care Professional to support residents in residential programs across multiple counties. You will assist with daily activities, meals, and home maintenance, while coordinating transportation to appointments and events.

With required driving privileges and ability to complete training, you will document daily notes, track important information, and work as part of a team to help residents reach personal goals.

Qualifications

  • No formal education required; training provided.
  • Driver’s license required with at least 6 months remaining and clean driving record.
  • Must have physical ability to perform tasks and ensure resident safety.
  • Background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Help with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and using equipment.
  • Home support including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Transport residents to appointments and activities.
  • Maintain daily notes and track important information.
  • Support residents in achieving personal goals.
  • Administer medications after training.
  • Complete required trainings and certifications.
  • Collaborate closely with a team and follow supervisor instructions.

Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services

Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties!

Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (Base on experience and certifications - See below)

Key Responsibilities
  • Help with Daily Activities: Assist with everyday tasks such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
  • Home Support: Cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, and help keep the home cozy.
  • Transportation: Drive residents to appointments, events, and other activities.
  • Keep Records: Write daily notes and track important information.
  • Support Goals: Help residents achieve their personal goals.
  • Administer Medication: Give out medications once trained.
  • Stay Updated: Complete required training and certifications.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with your team and follow instructions from your manager.
Qualifications
  • No Educational Requirements: We will train you!
  • Driver’s License: Must have a valid license for at least 6 months and a good driving record.
  • Physical Ability: Be able to perform all the tasks needed and ensure the safety of residents.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Know how to use a computer.
  • Background Check Required
Compensation
  • $18/hr: For individuals without Medical Application Program (MAP) certification
  • $20/hr: For individuals with an active MAP certification
  • Base $18/hr + $2/hr MAP certification differential
