Direct Care Professional
Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services
Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties
Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights
Pay: $18-$20 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
Key Responsibilities
- Help with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
- Provide home support: cooking meals, cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping, and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
- Transport residents to appointments, events, and activities.
- Keep daily records and track important information.
- Support residents in achieving personal goals.
- Administer medication once trained.
- Complete required training and certifications.
- Collaborate with the team and follow instructions from the manager.
What You Need
- No educational requirements – training will be provided.
- Valid driver’s license for at least 6 months with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform all required tasks and ensure residents’ safety.
- Basic computer skills.
- Background check required.
Compensation Pay Range Requirements
- $18/hr: for individuals without Medical Application Program (MAP) certification
- $20/hr: for individuals with an active MAP certification (base $18/hr + $2/hr MAP differential)
