Job description

Direct Care Professional

Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services

Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties

Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (based on experience and certifications)

Key Responsibilities

• Help with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
• Provide home support: cooking meals, cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping, and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
• Transport residents to appointments, events, and activities.
• Keep daily records and track important information.
• Support residents in achieving personal goals.
• Administer medication once trained.
• Complete required training and certifications.
• Collaborate with the team and follow instructions from the manager.

What You Need

• No educational requirements – training will be provided.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 6 months with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to perform all required tasks and ensure residents’ safety.
• Basic computer skills.
• Background check required.

Compensation Pay Range Requirements

• $18/hr: for individuals without Medical Application Program (MAP) certification
• $20/hr: for individuals with an active MAP certification (base $18/hr + $2/hr MAP differential)
