Job summary

ServiceNet is seeking Direct Care Professionals to support residents in residential programs across Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire counties. The role involves helping with daily activities, meals, transportation, and maintaining records.

There is on‑the‑job training with no formal education required. A valid driver’s license and ability to perform tasks safely are essential, along with completing required background checks and trainings.

Qualifications

  • Physical ability: Be able to perform all necessary tasks and ensure resident safety.

Responsibilities

  • Help with Daily Activities: Assist with eating, dressing, and using equipment.
  • Home Support: Cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, and help keep the home cozy.
  • Transportation: Drive residents to appointments, events, and other activities.
  • Keep Records: Write daily notes and track important information.
  • Support Goals: Help residents achieve their personal goals.
  • Administer Medication: Give out medications once trained.
  • Stay Updated: Complete required training and certifications.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with your team and follow instructions from your manager.

Job description

Direct Care Professional

Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services

Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties.

Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights.

Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and certifications; see below).

Key Responsibilities
  • Help with Daily Activities: Assist with everyday tasks such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
  • Home Support: Cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, and help keep the home cozy.
  • Transportation: Drive residents to appointments, events, and other activities.
  • Keep Records: Write daily notes and track important information.
  • Support Goals: Help residents achieve their personal goals.

What You Need

Compensation Pay Range Requirements
  • $18/hr for individuals without Medical Application Program (MAP) certification.
  • $20/hr for individuals with an active MAP certification (base $18/hr + $2/hr MAP differential).
