Direct Care Professional
Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services
Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties.
Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights.
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and certifications; see below).
Key Responsibilities
- Help with Daily Activities: Assist with everyday tasks such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
- Home Support: Cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, and help keep the home cozy.
- Transportation: Drive residents to appointments, events, and other activities.
- Keep Records: Write daily notes and track important information.
- Support Goals: Help residents achieve their personal goals.
- Administer Medication: Give out medications once trained.
- Stay Updated: Complete required training and certifications.
- Teamwork: Work closely with your team and follow instructions from your manager.
What You Need
- No educational requirements; we will train you.
- Driver’s license: Must have a valid license for at least 6 months and a good driving record.
- Physical ability: Be able to perform all necessary tasks and ensure resident safety.
- Basic computer skills: Know how to use a computer.
- Background check required.
Compensation Pay Range Requirements
- $18/hr for individuals without Medical Application Program (MAP) certification.
- $20/hr for individuals with an active MAP certification (base $18/hr + $2/hr MAP differential).
