Job summary

University of Michigan is seeking a Business Process Technology Analyst to support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of dining technology platforms. You will work across menu management, POS, meal plan management, catering, and related systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with operational needs.

The role involves system configuration, data validation, training, and coordination with internal IT teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
• 1+ years of experience with software systems.
• 1+ years of experience in customer service.
• 1+ years of experience with data entry, reconciliation, sales reporting, data auditing or user management in an application.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational menu management platform, including configuration, workflows, and integrations with other dining systems.
• Define and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and usage across locations and departments.
• Coordinate with recipes, nutrition, allergens, and procurement teams to support the database needs.
• Adjust system settings, user access, and implement workflows to meet operational needs.
• Implement price updates in collaboration with culinary and procurement teams.
• Develop training materials and system documentation; provide role-based training and support.
• Collaborate with dining units (culinary, nutrition, retail, catering, sustainability) for efficient workflows.
• Align the menu system with broader institutional tools and policies with Student Life IT, Procurement and Finance.
• Mentor student staff supporting testing, data verification, or project assistance.
• Share insights with colleagues to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.
