Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking an Assistant Dining Services Director in Virginia Beach. The role leads dining operations for residents, staff, and guests, focusing on hiring, training, and supervising staff while ensuring high-quality meals and dietary accommodations.

Responsibilities include menu preparation, sanitation compliance, and budgeting for food and supplies, with opportunities to train new dining associates and participate in weekly programs with the Dining Services Director.

Qualifications

• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hiring.
• Must have dining services experience in a management or leadership capacity.
• Must have working knowledge of ordering, storing, preparing and serving in a senior living environment.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 20 ft.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food service for residents, staff, and guests.
• Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating dining staff.
• Prepare meals per approved menus and accommodate dietary needs.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance with all health regulations.
• Maintain quality standards while managing food and supply costs within budget.
• Coordinate menu items and substitutions with the Dining Services Director.
• Train new dining associates and conduct in-service sessions.
