Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated dining services team member to support meal preparation, food safety, and resident dining operations. You will work under the Dining Services Director, supervise staff when needed, and help ensure meals meet recipes and portion controls.

The role requires Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days, the ability to stand long hours, lift 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification within 60 days of hire.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times, including floors.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Attends all required in-services and staff meetings.
• Must be alert for changes in residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
