Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a server to courteously serve resident and guest meals and assist with dining room cleanup. You will assist residents with menu selections and beverages, maintain stations, and uphold confidentiality policies while interacting with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously and assist with dining room cleanup.
• Assist residents with menu selections and provide beverage service.
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar and maintain tableware.
• Report broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understand sit-down service and basic food preparation.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
