Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a dining services supervisor to deliver a quality dining experience for residents, greet and seat guests, and oversee staff in the Manager's absence.

The role requires planning daily menus, maintaining sanitation standards, and coordinating schedules and budgets with the Dining Room Manager. Candidates should have 1–2 years related experience and a ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year certificate preferred.
• Minimum of one to two years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Current ServSafe Certification and relevant licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a quality dining experience by greeting and seating residents and guests, overseeing dining staff in the absence of the Manager.
• Ensure smooth opening/closing of the dining room, timely room service, and attractive presentation of meals.
• Maintain a pleasant, clean dining environment; ensure safety and sanitation standards.
• Plan daily menus and assist in staffing coverage for each shift.
• Work with Dining Room Manager to produce weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines.
• Assist in resident billing of food services charges and in event staffing.
• Hire, train, discipline and terminate departmental employees in consultation with the Director.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent plus one year certificate from college or technical school preferred
