Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Dining Services Supervisor to plan, manage, and coordinate activities of the dining services department at one or more locations, providing food services for residents and employees. You will develop standards, supervise staff, control costs, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED, 2–4 years kitchen experience, ServSafe and state certifications, and strong supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification required; state certification if applicable.
• ACF CSC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and coordinates activities of the dining services department at one or more locations, and provides food services for residents and employees.
• Develops standards for organization and supervision of dining services.
• Maintains quality dining services within the prescribed budget.
• Determines food quantities, plans menus, and controls costs; may supervise meal preparation.
• Oversees food preparation to ensure adherence to company procedures and safety standards.
• Inspects all work, storage, and serving areas for compliance with sanitation regulations.
• Prepares cleaning schedules, production worksheets, and staff schedules.
• Maintains inventory of food and nonfood items.
• Trains and delegates to dining services staff; ensures effective workflow.
• Develops cost control systems and submits department budgets.
• Provides nutrition education and counseling as needed.
