Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will oversee food quality, safety, inventory, and service, ensuring compliance with regulations and client expectations.

You will mentor the food service team, manage records and budgets, and coordinate with administrators to deliver excellent resident experiences. CDM certification is preferred, with FSM/LTC-FSM required within deadlines; residency area required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality ( coursework preferred).
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred; FSM and LTC-FSM certifications required within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the single-site food service program to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel and equipment; use HCSG software for reporting.
• Train staff, conduct quality control, and perform roles as needed (dietary aide, cook, dishwasher).
• Communicate directives from clients, managers and administrators to staff effectively.
• Ensure infection control and sanitary practices; manage attendance and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
