Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Director in Alabama to lead dining operations, develop menus and ensure customer satisfaction. You will manage teams, foster a culture of safety and sanitation, and align services with client expectations and Aramark standards.

In this role you will drive revenue, control labor and food costs, oversee budgeting and P&L statements, and collaborate across departments to deliver a high-quality food service experience for clients and guests.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 4 years of experience.
• Requires 1–3 years of experience in a management role.
• Requires previous experience in food service.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model.
• Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to provide unified service.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lb.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance.
• Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
• Adopt Aramark processes and systems; build revenue and manage budget including cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
• Implement and maintain Aramark agendas for labor and food initiatives; ensure cost controls and profit management.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
• Establish and maintain systems for food ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving; plan menus and development.
• Develop forecasts and explain variances; handle components accounting functions.
• Recruits, hires, develops and retains front-line staff; conduct inventories; maintain records for standards.
• Interact with Client Management and maintain client relationships; participate in sales processes; explore opportunities for product/service innovations.
