Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will manage quality, safety, inventory, and staff, while ensuring adherence to menus and regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state and county law).
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills with web-based reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the food service program at a single site, ensuring high quality, inventory control, and safety.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Train staff, conduct quality control, and perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher when needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff clearly and promptly.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning materials and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively with all stakeholders and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
