Job summary

Carroll Lutheran Village in Maryland is seeking a full-time Dining Services Associate to support meal preparation, service, and delivery for residents in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.

The role involves direct resident interaction, menu assistance, meal service, kitchen sanitation, and collaboration with dining staff. Monday–Friday 10:30am–6:30pm with every other weekend rotation; benefits and professional development available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital, restaurant, or continuing care retirement community preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Focus on customer service, taking orders, serving food, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Primarily follows food safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards.
• Prepare meals by reading and following recipes, production sheets, and product directions; estimate quantities based on census and dietary needs.
• Prepare therapeutic diets, including thickened liquids and modified-texture meals; measure and calculate liquid and nutrient restrictions as required.
• Participate in all meal services, including tray line, dining rooms, and in-room delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by inspecting, cleaning, and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and service areas.
• Assist residents with menu selections, ensuring dietary compliance and honoring personal preferences.
