Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a part-time Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will provide courteous table service, maintain cleanliness, assist with events, and support cost-control while upholding Cedarhurst’s dining standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, up to two years of prior experience (senior living preferred), and knowledge of food safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with the ability to obtain licensure if required by the state in which employed.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions, ensuring resident satisfaction.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service to residents and guests in a courteous, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by washing pots, pans, and utensils used in meal preparation, following all food safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; dispose of trash and clean containers; and complete daily checklists to ensure kitchen and dining areas are consistently maintained.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas, including floors, tables, and chairs after meals and events, and ensure sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping are completed at the end of each shift.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to support positive relationships and ensure residents’ wellbeing.
