Job summary

Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community in Virginia, is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor (Full Time) to supervise servers across casual, formal, and therapeutic dining venues and to ensure an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests.

You will train staff, manage private events, handle POS operations, and uphold sanitation and safety standards while reporting to the Dining Room Manager and Dining Services Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dining services experience required.
• Knowledge of serving alcoholic beverages required.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred.
• Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment required.
• TIPs Certification within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee appearance of dining venues and supervise Dining Room Servers during meals, events, and private functions.
• Lead or participate in trainings on etiquette, serving techniques, therapeutic diets, and sanitary standards; document attendance.
• Coordinate with food production to ensure palatability and presentation of food.
• Meet with residents/guests to arrange private events and ensure adequate staffing and satisfactory menu choices.
• Address resident complaints and participate in improvement plans.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and supplies, menus, and seating logistics are managed.
• Train staff on POS processes and ensure accuracy of charges.
• Ensure security of dining venues, equipment, and wine/beer inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
