Job summary

StoryPoint Group is seeking a Dining Room Manager to ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high service standards for residents and guests. You will supervise dining room staff and coordinate service to deliver timely, courteous experiences.

This role requires strong communication, cash handling, and the ability to train and schedule personnel, handle guest complaints, and uphold cleanliness and organization across dining areas.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; fine dining experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective public speaking before groups.
• Strong judgment to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Maintains a high energy level and is self-motivated.
• Billing reconciliation and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, coach and schedule staff.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Handle and fix all complaints to insure a great dining experience for residents and guests.
• Assign tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt service.
• Inspect dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and inventories table linens and other dining room supplies.
• Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
