Lodi - Dining Room Manager

Lodi is one of the first concepts to join the iconic Rockefeller Center as it reimagines its retail and hospitality collection for a new era. The all-day caffè stems from Ignacio Mattos, chef-owner of quintessential New York City restaurants, Estela and Altro Paradiso. At Lodi, Mattos and his team draw inspiration from Italian aperitivo culture and the restaurant’s historic surroundings. Their vision is to create a neighborhood anchor, elegant and friendly—a place you can visit practically any time of day, whether for an espresso in haste or a leisurely late-afternoon cocktail on the patio.

The Dining Room Manager will assist the General Manager in overseeing breakfast, lunch, or dinner operations, upholding the quality of food, beverage, and service.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader passionate about food and service. We are seeking energetic candidates who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and committed to providing guests with an excellent dining experience. As a Dining Room Manager, this candidate must help develop a positive and inclusive work environment, lead hands-on, and strive to improve the restaurant's financial and cultural aspects.

Key Responsibilities
Service Standards:
  • Ensure excellent service for all guests at all times
  • Drive service standards for Front of House positions and support service staff actively
  • Collaborate with Front and Back of House management to engage and educate staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the dining area
  • Ensure effective communication among restaurant staff
  • Manage opening and closing procedures
Personnel:
  • Recruit, train, and schedule Front of House staff
  • Ensure effective staffing to meet service standards
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and labor regulations
Key Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 2 years management experience in hospitality and fine dining
  • Full availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to train and educate FOH staff
  • Knowledge of DOL and Department of Health regulations
  • Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
  • Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and delegation skills
  • Attention to detail
