Lodi is looking for a Dining Room Manager

Lodi is one of the first concepts to join the iconic Rockefeller Center as it reimagines its retail and hospitality collection for a new era. The all-day caffè stems from Ignacio Mattos, chef-owner of quintessential New York City restaurants, Estela and Altro Paradiso. At Lodi, Mattos and his team draw inspiration from Italian aperitivo culture and the restaurant’s historic surroundings. Their vision is to create a neighborhood anchor, elegant and friendly—a place you can visit practically any time of day, whether for an espresso in haste or a leisurely late-afternoon cocktail on the patio.

Position Overview: The Dining Room Manager will assist the General Manager in overseeing breakfast, lunch, or dinner operations, maintaining the quality of food, beverage, and service.

Ideal Candidate: An experienced leader passionate about food and service, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing guests with an excellent dining experience. The candidate should foster a positive and inclusive work environment, lead hands-on, and strive to improve the restaurant's financial and cultural aspects.

Key Responsibilities
Service Standards:
  • Ensure excellent service for all guests at all times
  • Drive service standards for Front of House positions and support staff actively
  • Engage and educate staff in collaboration with management
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of the dining room
  • Ensure effective communication among staff
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
Personnel:
  • Recruit, train, and schedule Front of House staff
  • Staff the restaurant effectively to meet service standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and labor regulations
Key Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years' management experience in hospitality and fine dining
  • Full availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to train and educate FOH staff
  • Compliance with Department of Labor and Department of Health regulations
  • Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
  • Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and delegation skills
  • Attention to detail
