Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dining room operations and resolve resident complaints promptly.
  • Coordinate meals with Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef; supervise openings/closings.
  • Train staff; enforce uniforms and sanitation standards.
  • Plan daily dining room setup based on resident meal counts.
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Maintain positive resident relations and service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state laws and regulatory surveys.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

We're hiring a Dining Room Manager to help deliver a high standard of server efficiency, hospitality, and resident satisfaction. This role reports to the Director of Dining Services and hires, supervises, and reviews the work of dining room associates.

What You'll Do
  • Work with the Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef to execute daily meal services; serve as opening and/or closing supervisor
  • Oversee daily dining room operations and resolve resident complaints promptly
  • Ensure staff training, uniform standards, and proper presentation
  • Plan daily dining room set-up, sections, service, and side-work based on resident meal counts
  • Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance schedules are completed; address deficiencies
  • Demonstrate positive resident relations and community's quality care and service standards to residents
  • Ensure compliance with local and state laws and be available for regulatory surveys
  • Follow up to ensure all tasks have been competed and to maintain a like-new appearance
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • At least three (2) years of related work experience in fine dining, dining services, or restaurant management, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
  • Knowledge of high-end institutional food service and sanitation standards
  • Hired candidates will be required to successfully complete a level 2 criminal background (https://info.flclearinghouse.com),
  • Valid referencesand proof of employment eligibility. EOE.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform fine manipulation throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and to carry, transfer, push, pull, and reposition residents with assistance or equipment
  • Normal or corrected vision and hearing, including color recognition
Working Environment
  • Work is performed in a well-lit, well-ventilated dining setting, with occasional exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, odors, water, and noise
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, on weekends, or in other roles as needed
