Job summary

The Butchers Son Inc. is seeking a friendly Host to warmly welcome guests, manage seating, and support event setup in a busy dining room. You will answer phones, take reservations, and help maintain a clean, organized front-of-house environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, multitasking ability, and comfort with reservation software. Evening and weekend availability is a plus, and advancement opportunities exist within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host or in a customer service role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office and reservation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating them at their tables.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using a computerized system.
• Answer phone calls and respond to online inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with organizing and setting up private events.
• Handle guest complaints and concerns with grace and professionalism.
• Perform light cleaning duties, such as wiping down tables and sweeping the floor.
• Help maintain a clean and organized dining room.
• Other duties as assigned.
