Matchbox Restaurant Group seeks a friendly Host/Hostess to greet guests and manage the waitlist in a fast-paced upscale casual setting. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, inform guests about menus and policies, and support a smooth flow of dining service.

The role requires clear verbal communication, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Weekend availability and a flexible schedule are preferred to help us deliver exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in high volume, upscale casual dining or equivalent service environment.
• Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and some holidays.
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours).
• Clear verbal communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely seating of guests.
• Provide accurate and helpful information to guests regarding menus, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and lobby area, making a great first impression on guests.
• Coordinate with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient flow of guest seating and service.
