Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services is seeking a Dining Services Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents and support tailored dietary needs in a care setting. You’ll follow recipes, meet safety standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience.

Qualifications

At Wellspring Skilled Nursing & Rehab, we're looking for a Dining Services Cook who understands that great food is an important part of great care. As a Cook, you'll do more than prepare meals. You'll help create experiences that bring comfort, dignity, and enjoyment to the residents we serve. You'll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure meals are prepared safely, served with pride, and tailored to meet the individual dietary needs of each resident. Whether you're preparing a resident's favorite soup, accommodating a therapeutic diet, or ensuring a meal is presented with care, your work will have a direct impact on someone's day. Most importantly, you'll help create a dining experience that makes residents feel valued, respected, and at home.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

You'll prepare nutritious, appetizing meals that support resident health, recovery, and overall well-being. You'll carefully prepare therapeutic and modified-texture diets to ensure every resident receives meals that are both safe and enjoyable. You'll take pride in following recipes, menus, and food safety standards while maintaining the highest quality possible. You'll work closely with fellow dining services team members to ensure meals are prepared and served on time and according to resident preferences whenever possible. You'll help maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment that supports safety, infection prevention, and excellent dining services. You'll recognize that every meal you prepare contributes to a resident's comfort, health, and quality of life. Some days you'll be preparing breakfast for residents beginning their day. Other days you'll be creating meals that support rehabilitation and recovery, accommodating specialized diets, or simply serving the comfort foods that make residents smile. Every day, your work will help nourish both body and spirit.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Flexibility to work day and afternoon shift, 8 hour shifts
• Rotating weekends and holidays, required.
