Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Monroe is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to keep resident rooms, common areas, dining spaces, and bathrooms clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll support laundry duties, infection control, and safety practices while respecting residents’ dignity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining spaces, and other community areas so they are clean, safe and welcoming.

• Assist with laundry duties, room preparation, waste removal, floor care, and emergency housekeeping as needed.
• Monitor furnishings and supplies; report repairs or replacements when needed.
• Contribute to a home-like atmosphere where residents and families feel at ease.

At Wellspring Lutheran Services, we're looking for a Housekeeper who understands that housekeeping is about so much more than cleaning. It's about creating spaces where seniors feel respected, comfortable, and valued every day. As a Housekeeper, you'll play an important role in the daily experience of our residents. What Your Impact Will Look Like

You’ll help create an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable for every resident who calls our community home. You'll ensure resident rooms, common spaces, dining areas, bathrooms, and shared living spaces are clean, safe, and inviting. You'll help residents maintain dignity by respecting their personal belongings, honoring their preferences, and creating spaces that promote comfort and independence. You'll contribute to the health and well‑being of residents by following infection prevention practices and maintaining cleanliness throughout the community. You'll work closely with team members across departments to ensure residents receive exceptional service and support every day. Some days you'll be preparing a room for a new resident and helping them feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. Other days you'll be responding quickly to unexpected needs, assisting during special events, or helping maintain the beautiful environment that residents and families enjoy. Every day, your work will directly contribute to the comfort, safety, and happiness of the seniors we serve.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining spaces, offices, and other community areas to ensure they remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Follow established housekeeping procedures, infection control practices, and safety standards that help protect residents, employees, and visitors.
• Assist with laundry duties, room preparation, waste removal, floor care, and emergency housekeeping situations as needed.
• Monitor the condition of furnishings, equipment, and supplies and communicate concerns when repairs, replacements, or replenishment are needed.
• Help ensure our community remains a place where residents are proud to live and families feel welcome to visit.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience is helpful, but not required.
• We're happy to train someone who shares our commitment to service and excellence.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.

Schedule

Full-time Day Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) or Mid Shift (10:00 am - 6:30 pm). Rotating weekends and holidays required. Additional hours may occasionally be needed to support resident care areas or emergency situations. Flexibility to support a community that provides care and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week may be required.
