Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Saginaw, Michigan, is seeking compassionate caregivers for full‑time or part‑time roles. At Wellspring Assisted Living, we're looking for caregivers who understand that great care is about more than completing tasks—it's about building relationships, creating trust, and helping residents continue to live life on their terms.

As a Caregiver, you'll become an important part of each resident's daily life. You'll provide personal care, support mobility and independence, assist with medications when qualified, and help residents participate in the activities, routines, and relationships that bring joy and purpose to each day. Whether you're helping someone get ready for breakfast, accompanying them to an activity, assisting with personal care, or simply taking a moment to listen, your presence will make a meaningful difference. Most importantly, you'll help create a home where residents feel safe, respected, supported, and valued every day.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

You’ll help residents maintain as much independence as possible while providing the support they need to live comfortably and confidently.

You’ll assist with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other daily living activities while always protecting resident dignity and privacy.

You’ll help residents get to meals, activities, and social events, encouraging engagement and helping them remain connected to the community around them.

You’ll observe residents closely, recognizing changes in condition and communicating concerns to nursing leadership so residents receive the care they need.

If trained as a Medication Aide/Passer, you’ll assist with medication administration and help ensure residents receive medications as prescribed.

You’ll work alongside fellow caregivers to make sure every resident receives excellent care, compassion, and attention throughout the day.

Some days you’ll be helping a resident prepare for a family visit. Other days you’ll be offering reassurance during a difficult moment, helping someone safely move throughout the community, or celebrating milestones with residents who have become like family. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to make someone’s life a little easier, a little brighter, and a little more meaningful.

Qualifications

Schedule

Full-time or part-time Day shift or night shift (6:00 - 6:00) 12-hour shifts Every other weekend and holiday rotations, required
