Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Dimension Control Technician 1/2 to join our Tool Die Making team. You will lay out and assemble precision jigs and fixtures, plan operations from drawings, and ensure tolerances across multiple planes with high attention to detail.

The role requires communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, with opportunities across varied projects and customers. Salary ranges apply across levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with tool building and laser tracking experience.
• Ability to devise reference systems and create working build models.
• Experience handling 35 lb objects and working in shop floors.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance and SAP access.
• Candidates should be able to work inside and outside a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble standard and nonstandard tooling with precise tolerances.
• Plan work from tool designs or own designs and determine operation sequences.
• Set up and operate optical instruments to check alignment and fit.
• Develop holding devices and jig details for production.
• Prepare shop drawings and sequences for fabrication and assembly.
• Monitor quality per statistical or other control procedures.
