Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years experience in tool building and laser tracking in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience devising reference systems and creating working build models.
• Ability to move and position objects weighing 35 pounds and ascend/descend ladders.
• Work indoors/outdoors in warehouse and shop floor environments.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Current active DoD Clearance required to apply; SAP clearance obtainable within 1.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble standard and nonstandard tooling with tight tolerances across multiple planes.
• Plan work using tool design drawings or own designs.
• Set up and operate optical instruments to check alignment and fit of assemblies.
• Develop and design holding devices, jigs, and fixture details.
• Prepare shop drawings and sequences for fabrication and assembly.
• Monitor and verify quality per control procedures.
