Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Dimension Control Technician 3/4 on B Shift (4:00pm–2:30am) to join our Tooling team. The role requires strong shop-floor expertise in tool masters, jigs, fixtures, and precision measurement, with emphasis on tolerances across multiple planes.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of related experience, familiarity with optical alignment instruments, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related education and/or experience in tool building and laser tracking.
• Experience devising reference systems and creating working build models.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble tooling with exact tolerances across planes.
• Plan work and determine methods from tool design drawings or own designs.
• Set up and operate optical instruments to check alignment and fit.
• Develop holding devices and jig/fixture details.
• Prepare shop drawings and operational sequences for parts fabrication.
• May monitor and verify quality per statistical or other control procedures.
