Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related education and/or experience in tool building and laser tracking.
• Experience devising reference systems and creating working build models.
• Ability to frequently move objects weighing 35 pounds and ascend and descend ladders.
• Ability to work inside and outside in a warehouse environment and a shop floor environment.
• Ability to work within MS applications (Word, Excel, PDF).
• Current active U.S. Government Clearance and eligibility for SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble major jigs, fixtures, tool masters and related tooling with tight tolerances.
• Plan work from tool design drawings or own designs.
• Set up and operate optical instruments to check alignment and fitting.
• Develop holding devices and jig/fixture details.
• Prepare shop drawings for parts fabrication and assembly.
• May monitor quality using statistical process or other control procedures.
