Southern Company seeks a senior architect to shape the future Digital Workplace Technologies landscape. You will define architecture standards, governance, and multi-year roadmaps, and lead modernization across endpoint management, automation, and security for enterprise workplace platforms.

The role requires deep technical leadership, strong strategy skills, and the ability to align tech with business objectives while driving secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of Information Technology experience with 5+ years in technical leadership or architecture.
• Experience designing reference architectures, roadmaps, and governance in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Defines and maintains architecture vision, standards, governance, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Designs secure, scalable workplace solutions across endpoints, devices, automation, and security.
• Partners with EA, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Engineering, and vendors to design secure solutions.
• Leads modernization efforts including cloud-first endpoint management and AI-enabled ops.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and develops strategic adoption plans.
• Provides leadership and roadmap direction for complex initiatives.
