Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an experienced Architect to define future-state architecture for Digital Workplace Technologies and to govern technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals.

This role leads secure, scalable, and automated workplace solutions, partnering with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to drive modernization and risk-aware decisions that improve productivity and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in IT with 5+ years in technical leadership, architecture planning or strategic technology.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership to guide diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains strategic architecture roadmaps for endpoint management and workplace technologies.
• Creates reference architectures, design standards, and reusable solution frameworks.
• Leads architecture reviews and governance across major projects for Digital Workplace Technologies.
• Drives modernization initiatives including AI-enabled operations and secure adoption of new tech.
• Ensures compliance with cybersecurity, resiliency and lifecycle governance standards.
