Job summary

Southern Company seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect for Digital Workplace Technologies to define future‑state architecture, standards, governance, and roadmaps for end‑user devices and related platforms.

You will lead modernization across endpoint management, automation, and security, collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative workplace solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field required.
10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years of technical leadership, architecture planning, or strategic technology planning.

Responsibilities

Develops, governs, and maintains strategic architecture roadmaps for endpoint management, digital employee experience, software delivery, automation, vulnerability management, and workplace security platforms.
Creates and governs reference architectures, design standards, engineering patterns, technology blueprints, architecture principles, and reusable solution frameworks.
Leads architecture governance and reviews for major projects impacting Digital Workplace Technologies.
Ensures alignment with enterprise standards, cybersecurity, resiliency, and lifecycle governance.
