Job summary

Great Basin College seeks a creative Social Media Specialist to elevate our digital presence and engage students, alumni, and the community. You will develop strategies, create engaging content, and manage a calendar across platforms.

Collaborate with faculty and departments, monitor channels, analyze performance, and mentor student assistants while staying current with trends. This is a fulltime, on-site Nevada role with a $61k–$80k salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant professional experience; OR six years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six years.

Responsibilities

• Develop social media strategies to support marketing, recruitment, and enrollment goals.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across multiple platforms.
• Monitor channels, respond to comments, and foster positive engagement.
• Analyze performance and provide recommendations to improve reach and engagement.
• Collaborate with faculty and departments to promote programs and events.
• Attend events to capture photos and video content.
• Supervise student employees assisting with content creation.
