Job summary

U.S. Legal Support in New York seeks Digital Reporters to help create the official record of legal proceedings. Hybrid work arrangement applies, with client-site days and a standard 8:30–5:30 schedule.

Training and certification support will be provided prior to the start date, enabling you to grow in a long-term legal support career. Candidates must reside in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens.

Qualifications

• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with computers, software and audio equipment.
• Typing: Minimum typing speed of 55+ WPM (typing test required).
• Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Notary: Ability to obtain a State Notary Commission (assistance provided; existing Notary is a plus).
• AAERT Certification: Training and certification provided prior to start date.
• Driver's license: Valid state issued driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Legal Reporting: Administer oaths and participate in depositions, hearings, and other proceedings.
• Technology Operations: Transport, set up, and operate computer and audio equipment.
• Document Preparation: Prepare audio files, exhibits, and related materials for transcription.
• Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks when not in proceedings.

Digital Reporter – Legal Proceedings

U.S. Legal Support is hiring Digital Reporters to help create the official record of legal proceedings such as depositions and hearings. No prior experience is required—we provide structured training and certification support to set you up for long‑term success.

Location: New York - see below. Must reside in Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Queens, New York. Candidates living outside of these boroughs will not be considered.

Schedule: Hybrid – Client Sites | Monday–Friday 8:30-5:30.

Training & Certification

Hired candidates will complete Digital Reporter training prior to start date.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Reporting (Training Provided): Administer oaths and participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings in office and professional settings.
• Technology Operations: Transport, set up, and operate computer and audio equipment for in-person and remote proceedings.
• Document Preparation: Prepare audio files, exhibits, and related materials for transcription.
• Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks when not assigned to legal proceedings.
