Rate of Pay: Maryland Minimum Wage

FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

Location of Position: Lewis Recitation Hall, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157

Duration of Appointment: August 5, 2026 to May 25, 2027

Schedule: Schedule is at discretion of supervisor

Evaluation Procedures: Student workers are evaluated on a continuous basis.

Scope: Provide tutoring services to assigned students

Responsibilities:

• Provide tutoring services to students completing coursework involving video production with academic projects one-on-one or in a group setting

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College.
• Must be a Cinema major.
• Achieved a grade of "B" or better in the course, CIN 2201 Television Production, or its equivalent.
• Must demonstrate the ability to operate, teach, and troubleshoot all of the following: studio and EFP cameras, video switcher, audio mixer, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere editing software, studio lights, microphones, teleprompter, and master control broadcaster.
• Must be available to work independently with other undergraduates?both in- and outside the regularly scheduled class time.
• Must be able to assist students with copy editing, story structure, and polishing scripts.
• Preferred qualification: Achieved a grade of "B" or better in CIN 2301 Basic Video Editing

Physical Characteristics:

• Must have the finger dexterity needed to operate studio and EFP cameras, video switcher, audio mixer and other related equipment.
