Job summary

Inspire Medical Systems is seeking a Digital Product Owner to maximize value across agile teams and translate priorities into a clear backlog. You will partner with design, engineering, regulatory, cybersecurity, and stakeholders to deliver usable, secure digital capabilities.

The role requires 5+ years in product ownership or related digital product delivery, with experience in Azure DevOps or Jira and strong stakeholder management skills. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in product ownership, business analysis, software delivery, engineering, design, quality, program management, or a related digital product role.
• Demonstrated experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog and defining clear user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and team goals.
• Experience working as an embedded partner to cross-functional agile software teams, including internal or external delivery partners.
• Strong ability to translate user, business, technical, and compliance needs into actionable team-level work.

Responsibilities

• Backlog ownership and value delivery.
• Own, order, and continuously refine the team backlog to maximize value and support product outcomes, roadmap priorities, quality needs, technical sustainability, and operational commitments.
• Translate product goals, user needs, business rules, regulatory needs, and technical constraints into well-defined backlog items, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting context.
• Ensure backlog items are appropriately understood, sliced, sequenced, and ready for delivery; collaborate with the team rather than authoring requirements in isolation.
• Make timely day-to-day priority, scope, and clarification decisions within established product direction and decision rights.
• Balance new capabilities, defects, technical debt, cybersecurity, quality, compliance, maintenance, and operational work using transparent priorities.
• Accept or reject completed work against agreed acceptance criteria and confirm that delivered capabilities support the intended outcome.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline
