Job summary

HP Indigo Field Service Engineer is a customer‑facing role delivering mechanical, electrical, and electronic support for HP Indigo presses in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will operate in a hands‑on capacity with significant travel up to 50% to service and train customers and partners.

You will develop skills through ramp‑up training and grow into teaching end users and service partners while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of related field service experience, ideally involving HP products, industrial printers, electromechanical systems, or digital printing equipment.
• High School Diploma, GED, technical certification, or equivalent hands‑on training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction by identifying technical needs, clarifying requirements, and delivering timely resolutions.
• Serve as the primary on‑site and remote support contact for HP Indigo press customers.
• Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair for HP Indigo digital print systems.
• Conduct system installation, commissioning, upgrades, operator training, and preventive maintenance.
• Participate in ramp‑up training to build deep technical knowledge of Indigo systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service work, parts usage, software updates, and reports.
