Job summary

Shyft Global Services, a TD SYNNEX Company, is seeking Field Service Engineers to support digital pathology systems in clinical settings. You will perform maintenance, installs, and troubleshooting across assigned metropolitan areas with up to 50% travel.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in medical device field service, strong Windows and networking skills, and hands‑on experience with robotic systems and laboratory instruments. Excellent communication and documentation abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical technology, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of field service or technical support experience in medical devices and laboratory automation.
• Proficiency with PC hardware, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN).
• Hands‑on experience with robotic systems, laboratory instruments, and service documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance on digital scanners and related hardware; diagnose root causes and perform repairs.
• Installations & Configurations: lead site setups, calibrations, and LIS integration.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: respond to on‑site service calls; use diagnostic tools to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Operate a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on‑call rotations; escalate complex issues.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain service reports, work orders, calibration records in CRM; manage tools and inventory.
• Customer Collaboration: build partnerships with laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinical engineers.
