Job summary

TD SYNNEX is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support digital pathology systems in clinical environments. Based in the United States with substantial travel, you will install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced medical instrumentation, working closely with pathology staff and engineers.

You'll diagnose issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and document service activities while adhering to regulatory standards and company SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, biomedical technology, or a related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of field service or technical support experience in medical devices and laboratory automation.
• Proficiency with PC hardware, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with robotic systems, laboratory instruments, and service documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: schedule, execute, and document PM and FCOs on digital scanners and related hardware.
• Installations & Configurations: lead site setups, calibrate instruments, configure networking and LIS integration.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: respond to on-site service calls, use diagnostic tools, troubleshoot hardware/software/connectivity issues; may require evenings, weekends, on-call rotations.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain service reports, work orders, calibration records in CRM; manage tools, parts, inventory; follow regulatory standards.
• Customer Collaboration: build partnerships with lab staff, pathologists, and clinical engineers through clear communication.
