Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Engineering Manager, Digital & Mixed-Signal Hardware to lead and coordinate high-speed digital teams across multiple sites and product lines. The role provides technical ownership for board- and system-level designs while guiding staffing, processes, and performance in a fast-growing aerospace startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• 7+ years of direct digital or mixed-signal hardware engineering experience, preferably aerospace.
• 1–3 years of small-team technical leadership or engineering management preferred.
• Deep expertise in high-speed digital and mixed-signal board design.
• Experience with DFx — DFM/DFT and production transition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical integrity and engineering excellence for high-speed digital and mixed-signal electronics development.
• Establish, mature, scale, and enforce engineer-friendly digital hardware development processes and standards.
• Lead architecture/design reviews with SME engagement across digital, RF, power, firmware, and mechanical disciplines.
• Contribute to board-level digital/mixed-signal designs and debug efforts; ensure manufacturability and testability.
• Drive handoff from engineering to manufacturing with close collaboration across manufacturing, supply chain, and test.
• Plan and manage budgets for staffing, lab equipment, and design/simulation software.
