Futura Search Partners seeks an Investment Associate for its Digital Infrastructure team in Connecticut. The role operates across both credit and equity, underwrites investments, and builds sophisticated financial models for data centers, fiber, and connectivity assets.

You will run due diligence, prepare memoranda, and assist with structuring, negotiation, and post-close monitoring while developing sponsor and operator relationships.

Formación

• 2-5 years in digital infrastructure investing, private credit, infrastructure equity or debt, leveraged finance, or investment banking covering digital infrastructure or TMT.
• Strong modelling and analytical judgement, with the ability to build from a blank page.
• Genuine interest in the asset class and a working understanding of what drives returns in data centers and fiber.
• Comfortable moving between credit and equity thinking rather than specialising in one.
• Clear writing - investment memoranda are a core output of this role.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite investments across the digital infrastructure ecosystem, spanning secured credit, structured equity and hybrid instruments.
• Build the models: cash flow and credit analysis on the debt side, returns and value creation on the equity side, with the downside cases that support both.
• Run diligence on assets, contracts, counterparties and management teams, coordinating technical, legal and commercial advisors.
• Assess where value and risk actually sit in a deal: power availability and delivery timing, lease and contract structures, tenant and counterparty credit, construction and lease-up risk.
• Prepare Investment Committee memoranda and present recommendations.
• Support structuring, term sheet negotiation and documentation alongside counsel, from first look through close.
• Monitor positions post-close, including covenant compliance, borrower and asset performance, amendments and follow-on capital.
• Contribute to origination by screening opportunities and maintaining relationships across sponsors, developers, operators and intermediaries.

About the client

Futura Search Partners is working on this search with a global alternative asset manager investing across private equity, credit, infrastructure and real estate. Its digital infrastructure strategy invests across data centers, fiber, wireless and connectivity assets, deploying both credit and structured equity depending on what the situation calls for.

The role

An investment seat on a specialist digital infrastructure team. Unlike most roles in the sector, this one spans both sides of the capital structure: you will underwrite credit and equity transactions, and the structure follows the opportunity rather than a mandate.
