Job summary

RTX is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer II to develop high-speed digital electronics for defense communication systems. You will lead circuit card design from requirements through testing, using FPGA, DDR and Ethernet interfaces, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable hardware for ground, airborne, and space platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on PCB design, lab verification, and participation in product development and production test hardware.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of experience or an advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities from requirements to layout and test.
• Design, verify, and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products using FPGA, processors, and DDR memory.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet system performance specifications.
• Contribute to development of circuit cards, test fixtures, and cabling.
