Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Systems Administrator to enable data-driven Industry 4.0 initiatives across global factories. You will work hands-on with on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure, deploying and sustaining digital factory platforms while collaborating with customers, vendors, and IT teams.

You will analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement secure, highly available systems.

Qualifications

• University degree and extensive IT infrastructure experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.
• Experience with automation and cloud environments.
• Experience with databases (MS SQL, Oracle, HANA, Databricks).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• ITIL/process-driven enterprise environment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, and sustainment of Industry 4.0 platforms across global sites.
• Serve as technical focal point and owner for digital factory systems.
• Translate requirements into designs, specs, and implementation plans.
• Support current and legacy apps ensuring reliability and compliance.
• Perform system installation, integration, hardening, and patching.
• Follow incident and change management processes for daily ops.
• Maintain standard work, diagrams, and configurations documentation.
• Monitor apps, identify automation opportunities to improve uptime.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Provide knowledge sharing and cross-training to peers.
