SGS Consulting seeks an Automation Engineer to oversee integration and delivery of digital, connected equipment at client plants. You will manipulate data across legacy and new systems and ensure gateways communicate effectively, while collaborating with data-flow teams to validate outputs.

You will lead digital manufacturing qualification assessments and help shape architectural strategy as technologies evolve, including testing QR codes and implementing Smart Factory solutions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; strong hardware & networking knowledge.
• 3+ years in industrial manufacturing with business informatics or computer science background.
• SQL knowledge required; data communication devices incl. networking & wireless.
• Experience with OPC Unified Architecture platform and system integration documentation.
• PLC programming experience (Unity, ProWORX, SoMachine).
• Familiar with vision systems and electronic circuit concepts (digital, analog).
• Project management competency and digital savviness preferred.

• Responsible for integration and delivery of digital/natively connected equipment from manufacturing at Clients plants.
• Manipulate data to ensure communication between legacy and new systems.
• Ensure Gateway devices are ready to communicate downstream and upstream.
• Partner with Data-Flow teams to validate work before shipment.
• Lead digital manufacturing qualification assessments.
• Verify planned configuration against digital architecture and influence strategy as tech evolves.
• Test QR codes on products, report issues, and track resolutions.
• Implement Industry 4.0 Smart Factory solutions.
• Develop Digital Apps/solutions with end users from concept to release.
