RTX is offering a Factory Enablement Co-op in Cedar Rapids, IA to develop and deploy digital tools for modernizing aerospace manufacturing. You will work with experienced engineers to prototype solutions and improve digital capabilities across manufacturing sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning in Smart Factory environments, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and exposure to technologies like AI, IoT, CMMS, RTLS, and factory data analysis.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM major and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Experience with Python, Power BI, IoT systems, automation, or MES/ERP/PLM.
• Experience working with data—cleaning, organizing, visualizing, or interpreting it.

Responsibilities

• Support Advanced Operations Engineering by developing and deploying digital tools for smart factory environments.
• Collaborate with DT/IT, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, and shop-floor technicians to translate needs into digital requirements.
• Assist with pilot projects, data gathering, documenting results, and preparing materials for scaling successful pilots.
