Job summary

RTX is seeking engineering interns/co-ops and full-time opportunities to help advance aerospace and defense projects. You will own tasks, plan automation projects, and apply IIoT to improve quality on the shop floor while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on work on automation, factory integration, and data-driven decision making using modern manufacturing technologies in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Earned a minimum of 30 credit hours before start.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools, Lean principles, and concepts.
• Experience delivering presentations and using design software such as SolidWorks or Siemens NX.

Responsibilities

• Own project tasks and manage time/resources to meet goals and milestones.
• Plan and implement automation capital projects.
• Research, evaluate, and test new technologies to improve quality and productivity on the shop floor.
• Provide engineering guidance to optimize equipment use and manufacturing techniques.
• Integrate automation solutions into factory systems and improving production processes.
• Implement Smart Factory technologies and adding digital data acquisition to legacy test equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing data and create dashboards to display metrics for operations teams.
