Job description

• Work closely with and assist engineers on engineering assignments
• Carry out basic work instructions to learn company fundamentals and new skills
• Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision
• Complete assigned tasks on time
• Gather and assemble data for engineers
• Assist with research in a particular field as required
• Conduct design analysis and calculations under engineer supervision
• Assist engineers with design details
• Analyze, test, and document digital hardware developments under supervision
• Analyze, test, and document programmable logic/firmware developments using reports, design descriptions, and Verilog/VHDL under supervision
• Review specifications and requirements and assist engineers in developing designs
• Perform tasks to gain familiarity with engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices
• Support and communicate the organization's mission, values, and culture
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current enrollment in an accredited Electrical or Computer Engineering degree program, or related scientific/technical discipline
• Sophomore level or higher
• Some progress toward an engineering degree
• Relevant coursework may include Single Chip Microcomputers, Intro to Computer Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Introduction to Signal Analysis, Computer Architecture, Digital System Design, Electric Circuit Analysis, Computer Networking Protocols, FPGA/ASIC Design
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a good network
• Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
• Previous internship/co-op experience preferred
