Job summary

Codal is a Chicago-based, award-winning web design and development consultancy seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead digital initiatives for enterprise clients.

The role combines client-facing leadership with cross-functional collaboration across Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and DevOps in a hybrid in-person/remote setting. You’ll manage scope, budgets, and RAID risks to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of formal project management experience in client-facing, consulting, or agency settings.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives (web/mobile, CMS, eCommerce, or platform modernization).
• Ability to manage expectations and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Experience managing project financials, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Working knowledge of RAID management (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) with proactive mitigation planning.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, from discovery through execution and post-launch support.
• Translate high-level objectives into structured delivery plans, milestones, and sprint-level execution.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
• Partner with Product Managers to ensure well-defined, prioritized backlogs and readiness of stories.
• Support delivery predictability through velocity tracking, capacity planning, and release planning.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing clear communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and DevOps.
• Align project-level execution with broader team and account goals.
• Maintain and actively manage RAID logs; ensure transparency and accountability.
• Track budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to support delivery efficiency.
