Job summary

Planet Depos, LLC is seeking a Digital Court Reporter to sit in depositions in Boston, MA, handling audio/video setup, recording, and log notes. You will manage mic placement, monitor levels, and ensure proper framing while maintaining professionalism with clients and attorneys.

Ideal candidates have some legal industry knowledge, comfort with A/V tech, and a professional appearance. The role requires flexibility for after-hours work and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of the legal industry is preferred.
• Comfort with A/V technologies and digital recording.
• Professional appearance and ability to work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Set up audio/video equipment quickly and professionally.
• Position microphones and monitor audio capture quality.
• Mix multiple audio tracks and monitor interference.
• Set white balance and exposure for legal videography.
• Frame video consistently with legal norms.
• Assist clients with audio, video, and technology issues.
• Maintain understanding of policies and audio/video tech.
• Log key events, spellings, exhibits, and objections.
• Swear in deponents and record testimony under oath.
• Maintain calm, neutral demeanor during proceedings.
