Job summary

Stephen Center in Omaha is seeking a Digital Communications Coordinator to lead digital marketing and content strategy, owning content across platforms, analytics, campaigns, email and partnerships.

The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution: tailoring content to LinkedIn, Instagram and other channels, measuring performance, and collaborating with leaders and external partners to advance fundraising, awareness and program impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about marketing—not just execute content.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with website CMS (content management systems).
  • Experience with video creation/editing tools and digital content platforms.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must conduct oneself with professionalism and in alignment with Stephen Center’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital marketing and content strategy.
  • Assist in determining platform-specific strategies based on audience and intent.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support organizational priorities, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Track performance metrics and contribute to data-informed strategy adjustments.
  • Manage day-to-day social media channels, including content planning, creation, scheduling, and engagement.
  • Ensure content reflects the organization’s voice, mission, and values.
  • Identify trends, tools, and opportunities to expand reach and engagement.
  • Monitor and report on performance and audience insights.
  • Partner with the Appeals Coordinator to support the development of strategic email campaigns that align with fundraising goals.
  • Assist in shaping theme, messaging, and copy for email appeals.
  • Develop and execute drip email campaigns to support donor cultivation and conversion.
  • Coordinate follow-up email strategies tied to mailers and newsletters.
  • Support A/B testing of subject lines, content, timing, and CTAs.
  • Capture and produce content including photos, videos, and written storytelling.
  • Utilize current tools to enhance video production and messaging.
  • Highlight client impact and outcomes in a thoughtful way.
  • Serve as liaison with external marketing and creative partners.
  • Assist in coordination of annual marketing strategies and campaigns.

ThePettigrew Emergency Shelter and Permanent Supportive Housing offeringsprovide safe and secure housing while individuals and families completean assessment of permanent housing options. All Stephen Center residentshave access to dual diagnosis support services via the HEROaddiction/recovery program. 100% of Stephen Center shelter supportivehousing participants are living in poverty. Housing transition supportidentifies poverty barriers that may impact one’s ability to achieve ormaintain permanent housing through case management, life skills, andbehavioral health services. Stephen Center serves approximately 250people daily in all programs.

K ey Accountabilities:
Strategy & Planning
  • Support the development andimplementation of a comprehensive digital marketing and content strategy
  • Assist in determining platform-specificstrategies based on audience and intent

  • Assist in shaping theme,messaging, and copy for email appeals that either complement broader multimediacampaigns or function as standalone email-only initiatives
  • Develop and execute drip emailcampaigns to support donor cultivation, stewardship, and conversion followingkey touch points
  • Coordinate follow-up emailstrategies tied to hard copy mailers and newsletters, ensuring continuity inmessaging and timing once pieces land in-home
  • Support A/B testing of subjectlines, content, timing, and calls-to-action to optimize performance andengagement
Content Creation &Storytelling
  • Capture and produce content, includingphotos, videos, and written storytelling
  • Utilize current tools and technologies toenhance video production and messaging
  • Highlight client impact andorganizational outcomes in a thoughtful and dignified way
Vendor & PartnerCollaboration
  • Serve as a liaison with third-partymarketing and creative partners
  • Assist in coordination of annualmarketing strategies and campaign initiatives
  • Help ensure alignment between internalpriorities and external execution.
